An increasing number of vaccines
In the past few years, an increasing number of vaccines have been made available direct to the public from community pharmacies as a result of changes in legislation and we are pleased to be able to provide you with this important service.
We do not require a script for our vaccinations, and accept walk ins as well as bookings, however we encourage bookings via 644 22 132 to ensure vaccination availability.
We do not provide free vaccinations except for those eligible for the free measles vaccination, and will refer you to your G.P if you are eligible for a free vaccination. Please ask in store or contact us on 644 22 132 for our current vaccine pricing.
Vacinations available from Dixon’s Pharmacy include:
Influenza
We can provide influenza vaccinations for those aged 10 and over, and we encourage people who are entitled to a free flu vaccination such as pregnant women and those aged 65+ to visit their G.P.
We encourage local businesses, companies or even schools to contact us if you would like to participate in our offsite influenza clinics so you can offer protection to your workers and keep your business functioning during flu season. we will come to your facility at a time convenient to you and offer safe and effective administration of the current influenza vaccine in a timely manner.
Diptheria, tetanus and pertussis (whooping cough)
We can provide vaccination for those aged 16 and over who are not eligible for a free vaccination under the national immunisation program such as pregnant women who should receive a whooping cough booster from their G.P between 20-32 weeks gestation.

We can provide vaccinations for those aged 16 and over.
We can also provide eligible Tasmanians with the free measles catch up vaccination aimed at those born during or after 1966 who have not received two measles containing vaccines, or been infected with the measles virus.
